Sommelier Ashley McClane is a certified specialist of wine and is also a certified sommelier. She brings 11 years of experience to the exquisite Five Diamond restaurant, The Oakroom, which houses the largest wine cellar in the region. With over 1500 selections at her disposal, she is excited at any opportunity to "talk shop" with her guests, or teach them about wine, while trying to take out the snobbery that can sometimes be associated with restaurants of this caliber.
"The Oakroom is one of the best restaurants in the country, and I like to treat every guest as if they are in my own dining room at home. I truly believe that you do not have to spend hundreds of dollars to have an amazing wine experience, although I will never turn down a nice vintage of Sassicaia. When people ask me what my favorite wine is, I always have the same answer, 'whatever is in my glass at the time.' Cheers!"
